# ScaleDM

> Free Instagram automation management for Business and Creator accounts. By Ascendant Labs.

ScaleDM creates comment-to-DM and story-reply automations. Users can view, create, edit, pause, and delete automations on the web, mobile, or through a connected AI assistant.

## Connect an AI assistant

If the assistant supports adding connectors, use its native connection flow for this endpoint. There is one permission: **Manage automations**. The user continues to Instagram to approve access, then returns to chat. Keep the explanation brief. The MCP endpoint is an API, not a browser sign-in link. Never create a fake connection card or label a normal hyperlink as a working connector. If a native connector installation tool is unavailable, explain how to add the server in the host settings instead. Never ask users to paste passwords or tokens. Only discuss protocol or token details when asked.

The [tool schemas JSON](https://scaledm.io/mcp-tools.json) includes input/output schemas for all eight public tools. Runtime tools/list remains authoritative. Compatible hosts include ChatGPT, Muse, Claude, and other assistants with remote MCP and OAuth support; availability depends on the host.

## Automation tools

- `list_automations`: View automations and their delivery/click counters.
- `get_automation`: Read one automation's settings and counters.
- `create_automation`: Set up an automation.
- `update_automation`: Edit, activate, or pause an automation.
- `delete_automation`: Delete an automation after explicit approval.

Supporting tools: `get_instagram_account`, `list_instagram_media`, and `get_instagram_media` identify the connected account and content for automation setup. The connector does not offer standalone Instagram analytics, comment browsing, feedback submission, or account deletion.

Show the proposed content, trigger, and message before activation or deletion. Use `confirmed: true` only after approval. If a write fails, list automations before retrying.
